Richtig Apportieren
Posted unter Allgemein | 150 KommentareDas Apportieren an sich ist ein Teil des ganz natürlichen Jagdverhalten eines Hundes. Für viele gehört es aber auch zum Tricktraining für bestimmte Spielarten, wie das Frisbee für Hunde.
Die meisten Hunde rennen grundsätzlich etwas geworfenem hinterher und bringen es wieder. Doch nicht immer klappt das dann auf Kommando. Oft geben die Hunde ihre Beute nicht mehr frei oder kommen gar nicht erst damit zurück zum Herrchen, sondern bleiben entweder an Ort und Stelle oder rennen mit der Beute weg, um sie zu verstecken.
Es liegt also am Herrchen und eventuell an einem Lehrer, einem Hund das richtige Apportieren beizubringen. Das bedeutet, dass man dem Hund beibringen muss, bestimmte Gegenstände auf Kommando aufzuheben, zum Herrchen zu bringen und auf ein weiteres Kommando diesen Gegenstand wieder freizugeben. Dies geschieht entweder, indem der Hund den Gegenstand vor die Füße des Herrchens legt oder ihm direkt in die Hand zu geben.
Auch sollte ein Hund es beherrschen, einen geholten Gegenstand an einen bestimmten Ort zu bringen, also ihn beispielsweise in einen Korb oder auf einen Tisch zu legen.
Aber auch Dinge, wie Klötze stapeln oder sich zudecken leiten sich vom Apportieren ab. Denn wenn ein Hund einmal das Apportieren erlernt hat, dann stehen ihm alle Türen offen, was das Erlernen von vielen weiteren Tricks betrifft.
Es sollten aber wichtige Dinge beachtet werden, um seinem Hund das Apportieren beibringen zu können. Der erste Punkt, der wohl am wichtigsten dafür ist, heißt Geduld. Einem Hund das Apportieren beizubringen ist nicht so einfach, wie es sich vielleicht anfangs anhört. Bei vielen Hunden dauert es eine längere Zeit, ehe sie das richtige Apportieren beherrschen. Geht man hier nicht mir Geduld, sondern mit Zwang und Druck heran, dann wird sich der Hund nicht dazu bringen lassen, zu lernen. Eher wird er sich störrisch stellen und sich gegen den Zwang zur Wehr setzen. Um diesem aus dem Weg zu gehen, seien Sie immer sehr geduldig mit Ihrem Hund und geben Sie ihm Pausen, wann immer er sie benötigt. Ist er nämlich gestresst, kann er sich nicht mehr richtig konzentrieren und lernt so auch nicht weiter. Also, lieber eine Pause mehr, als dass Ihr Hund dann keine Freude mehr am lernen hat.
Der zweite Punkt bezieht sich auf die Gegenstände, die der Hund apportieren soll. Man darf einen Hund niemals dazu drängen, etwas in den Mund zu nehmen, was er nicht will. Denn er soll Spaß und Freude am Apportieren haben und nicht zu etwas gedrängt werden. Er sollte mit Freude auf den gewünschten Gegenstand zusteuern und ihn auch gerne und freiwillig in den Mund nehmen. Tut er das nicht, belassen Sie es dabei und nehmen einen anderen Gegenstand. Denn ohne Spaß an der Sache werden Sie Ihren Hund nie dazu bringen, richtig zu Apportieren.
Als letztes bleibt nur noch zu sagen, dass es auch besonders wichtig ist, seinem Hund für jeden noch so kleinen, positiven Schritt zu belohnen. Mit einem kleinen Leckerli oder lobenden Worten und Streicheleinheiten wird der Hund dann immer zufrieden sein und auch Spaß daran haben, Ihren Kommandos zu folgen, schon aus dem Grunde, wieder gelobt werden zu wollen.
Denn gelobt werden zu wollen und für seine guten Taten eine Bestätigung zu bekommen, liegt nicht nur im Wesen eines Menschen, sondern genauso in dem, eines Hundes.
